Blog Overhaul

As you probably haven’t noticed, this blog now has a new theme. It’s a child theme of Coldbox. As I work with Coldbox I’m more and more impressed by the thought that went into it. The customizations are just what I want and there was even a child theme starter.

I also used Duplicator which was a huge help getting the content of the existing blog, including themes and settings, onto my local machine.

I left up a couple old tech posts which were the most popular. Most of the tech posts have a very limited shelf life. This new theme has a “featured image” spot which the old theme didn’t have. After looking for images for some of the tech posts I just put in unrelated images of nature. I also have a couple of recipes that need images of the actual food, but for now I used nature images.
